| Hen’s nightTraditionally, the hen’s night is a night for the bride-to-be to have one last all-out, all-girls party before she weds. Usually, the chief bridesmaid organises the hen’s night. This is a time for the bride - think about what she likes to do. Some women prefer their hen’s night to be an all night, dusk till dawn pub-crawl, while others prefer an evening meal at home or in a restaurant of their choice with a few bottles of wine. Some bridesmaids organise a home party, while others take their friend to the mountains for a girly retreat into pampering and relaxation. Other great choices could be dinner and a show or dancing where you can all salsa the night away.
Of course it doesn’t have to be at night, it may be brunch or lunch. Another great idea for something a little different is a shopping tour where groups are taken on a day trip visiting outlets. Lunch, special discounts and a present for the bride are usually included in the outing. Groups can pick and choose the type of outlets - homeware, food, clothing, manchester, travel goods, jewellery or giftware to name a few. You can even choose the restaurant for lunch and perhaps finish the day with champagne and nibblies. But remember the number one rule - only girls! Apart from that, do anything, invite anyone and have fun, but do not hold it on the eve of the wedding!
